Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Sidekick collects, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. We've kept it short and plain.
What we collect
- Account info. Your email and name from Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google.
- Session data. The goal you set, session duration, and timestamps.
- Voice. Your microphone audio is streamed to OpenAI in real time during a session. We do not record or store it.
- Usage metrics. Anonymous app events that tell us which features get used.
- Crash reports. Diagnostic data sent when the app crashes.
Why we collect it
- To provide the service.
- To improve the product.
- To comply with the law.
Microphone
Sidekick uses your microphone during focus sessions. Audio is streamed to OpenAI's Realtime API in real time so the AI can respond. We do not record, store, or save audio.
Who we share data with
We use a small set of trusted vendors to run Sidekick. Each one only gets the data it needs to do its job.
- Apple. Processes App Store payments and subscriptions.
- Supabase. Hosts our database and handles sign-in.
- OpenAI. Powers the voice conversation and some text features.
- Anthropic. Powers AI summaries and certain text features.
- RevenueCat. Manages subscription state across devices.
- Sentry. Receives crash reports so we can fix bugs.
- PostHog. Receives anonymous product analytics.
We do not sell your data.
Your rights
- Access. Email us and we'll send you a copy of your data.
- Deletion. Delete your account in the app: Settings → Delete Account. One tap. No email needed. This removes your account and session history from our systems.
- Export. Email us and we'll send your data in a portable format.
Children
Sidekick is not for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13 (COPPA). Users 13 to 17 should have parental consent where required by local law.
International users
Sidekick is operated from the United States. If you use the app from outside the US, your data will be processed in the US.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above and notify you in the app.
